Kidepo Valley National Park
Kidepo Valley National park is tucked away in the remote northeast of Uganda. Near the border of Kenya and Sudan lies the spectacular National Park. Kidepo Valley National Park is considered one of the holy grails of safari. Access is challenging, as the overland route takes two full days from Kampala, so most visitors fly in on shared charter flight. As a result, the park has very few visitors, but it is a real hidden gem for those who manage to get this far.

Game Drives in Narus & Kidepo Valleys
Perennial running water in the Narus River makes Kidepo an oasis in this semi-arid area. This wild country is a tract of rugged savannah. Dominated by Mount Morungole and broken by the Narus Valley in the southwest and Kidepo Valley in the Northeast. Game drives through these valleys provide stunning vistas and a wealth of wildlife, ranging from giraffe, zebra, lion, elephant, buffalos and antelopes. Species not seen elsewhere in Uganda, such as cheetah and kudu can also be spotted here. While the game viewing is excellent, it is the sense of supreme isolation that distinguishes this rare slice of wild and untouched Africa.
Walking Safari
Kidepo Valley National Park is one of two parks in Uganda where you can explore the savannah on foot. Walking in the African savannah provides an amazing opportunity to slow down. It allows guests to admire and explore the smaller details of this remote area.
Best time to visit
The Dry season of July and August , when it is hot, is the best time for game viewing when the animals congregate near the water holes.
During the Wet season between April to May and September to November animals can still be seen, the scenery is lush and green and birding is at its best with an abundance of migratory birds.
