Uganda is the best destination in East Africa to see the Shoebill Storks.
Besides the wildlife and birdlife, Lake Victoria offers incredible adrenaline filled activities. White water rafting, kayaking and bungee jumping are a few of the thrill seeking activities.
Known as “The Pearl of Africa”. Landlocked by Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The country forms part of the African Great Lakes region and also lying within the Nile Basin.
The Remote Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. The forest is a renowned sanctuary for the endangered mountain gorillas. Over 400 mountain gorillas call Uganda's rainforests their home. The Murchison Falls National Park is famous for its 43m tall waterfall. Also, the the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment and vast, palm-dotted savanna has diverse wildlife. Kibale Forest is a sanctuary to a healthy population of Chimpanzees. Queen Elizabeth National Park offers wonderful wildlife and boat safaris.
