Lolldaiga Hills

Cultural Visit from Safari Series

20kms northwest of Mt. Kenya, only 4 hours drive from Nairobi and 45 minutes from Nanyuki, lies the stunning Lolldaiga Hills. A pristine wilderness of 49,000 acres, the Lolldaiga Hills is an amazing area focused on sustainable and responsible conservation and is also a working ranch. The hills have the highest peak in Laikipia and offer spectacular views of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares. The area also has a well documented series of archeological finds including cave paintings and burial mounds, an indication this area was home to early mankind.

Where to stay in the Lolldaiga Hills

The Safari Series have opened their owner-managed and hosted intimate 6 ensuite tented camp in the pristine wilderness of the Lolldaiga Hills. Set in a private 49,000 acre conservancy in Northern Kenya, overlooking the slopes of snow-capped Mt. Kenya, this beautiful canvas camp is situated deep into the bush, overlooking an often frequented watering hole. There is so much on offer in terms of wildlife and activities for guests to keep busy. The camp can be booked on an exclusive-use basis for a group or family of up to 12 people, or simply just book a tent and make it home for a few nights. If you can sneak away, we recommend 4 nights to make the most of all that is on offer. A really awesome and unique activity is to take the camp’s original vintage safari vehicle; Series I, Series II & Series III Land Rovers out on safari with a guide and armed ranger (but only after joining a fun Land Rover training session!). And for all our peace of mind, the camp has put in place health and safety protocols as advised by WHO the rules set by the Government of Kenya.
